After a fantastic first week at the Starlings expectations were high for the weekend.
Another beautiful evening. Some good looking moon ducks in the golden evening light.
No clouds today, so no red sunset. Instead a golden strip of light along the horizon.
The birds arrived in a series of small flocks.
They fly across footpaths so fast and only a few inches above the reeds.
An ink cap on the footpath. Sadly, many more had been trampled – I guess with everyone looking up at starlings this was going to happen.
