My first visit to Ham Wall this week and the weather is still dull. I was hoping the birds would roost in the Waltons Heat, but sadly the the action was still going on back over in the Loxtons Marsh. The distant view was very dark.
Unexpected a group of birds moved over into the centre of Waltons Heath.
Soon huge numbers of fast moving birds poured over the Tor View hide.
Once down the birds flew back-and-fore across the open water between the reed beds.
Suddenly a sparrowhawk grabbed a starling and the flock lifts into the air.
The flock jumps across the water to escape the hawk.
