The other day we took a family walk around Lynchcombe nature reserve and down to the village of Westbury-sub-Mendip. That day Storm Gareth was blowing so I could not take pictures of the flowers in the churchyard.
Today I returned to get those pictures. It was still pretty windy, and my ‘big’ camera is still being repaired, but after days of cloud you just have to get out and make the most of the blue skies.
There are so many flowers that you cannot walk between them. Instead they can be photographed along the edge of the path. From here the camera was looking directly into the low morning sun.
I like to get down low to take pictures. My replacement camera has live view and a fold out screen. So I could just put the camera down on the grass and take pictures by touching the screen. I could only dream of doing this with my other camera.
The churchyard also has some colourful daffodils.
