This village is tucked into a valley surrounded by Crook Peak and Wavering Down.
Today we had a group walk starting at the car park at King’s Wood, around to Compton Bishop, before returning up and over Wavering Down.
It is always difficult taken photographs on a group walk. You need time to explore angles and find those vantage points that give you the view you are hoping for.
You have to become quick at evaluating options and taking opportunities. Here I grabbed a couple of minutes to look back to the church whilst we stopped for someone’s shore laces to be sorted.
Returning over Wavering Down you get a wonderful on top of the world view across the Somerset Levels.
