The shiny new view platform at Ham Wall is a popular location to watch the starlings return to the overnight roost in the reedbeds of Waltons Heath.
After a few small groups a large flock arrived from the south.
More birds appeared from in front of Glastonbury Tor.
They dropped into the reeds of Waltons Heath.
The birds took the time to create some shapes.
After the deep red sunset of yesterday it was hard to believe that we could have another beautiful sky this evening.
But we were not disappointed as a bank of cloud turned pink soon after the sun had dropped below the horizon.
