Up the hill from the deer leap standing stones is a car park and picnic site. Famous as a location used in the Hot Fuzz film and with panoramic views across Somerset this one of the most popular spots in the Mendip Hills.
After weeks of dry weather a brief period of rain cleared the dust from the sky creating the perfect conditions for a summer sunset.
I had gone up the hill to photograph the sunset over the Lynchcombe nature reserve. But the clouds had other ideas. So I trekked back up to the car park just in time to watch the setting sun.
A wonderful spot for a walk.
