The Mists of Avalon
The winter has arrived bringing a brief flurry of snow last week. This week a clear evening brought a morning mist over Avalon and the Somerset Levels towards Glastonbury Tor. The images were taken Deerleap on the southern edge of the Mendip Hills from just a yards from the Deerleap Tree I have been photographing through the year.
I struggled to get clear images using my old Nikon D200. The low contrast, resulting from taking pictures in the early morning, caused the images to show a significant noise as I tried to recover them in Adobe Lightroom 4.
This later image looking towards Glastonbury Tor showed more colour.
