Rainbow in Wells

The recent unsettled weather, with its mixture of showers and sunshine, has brought out a batch of rainbows. However, they are hard to predict and tend to be found by accident. Today was such a day.

This time of year the sun is still low in the sky which is required to create the best rainbows, and I had my polarising filter to help bring out the colour. I could only zoom out to 24mm which is not wide enough to capture the whole of the double rainbow. Even if you walk back in an attempt to get more it in, the rainbow simply followings you. So, I needed to stitch together a series of images using Lightroom.
