Cheddar Gorge
With a couple of free hours in the afternoon I made a trip up to Cheddar Gorge in the Mendip Hills of Somerset. Unfortunately there was too much haze for long views across the gorge and the levels. Instead, I looked for details at the top of the hill above the pinnacles.
Top of the Gorge
The long horn cattle look great and a bit intimidating.
These little sheep are everywhere around the gorge.
As the sun dropped towards the horizon some of the haze cleared.
The low light highlighted the ridges of the pinnacles.
And Finally…
I stumbled across this sign on the rock. Clearly, I need to explore different routes to success in the gorge.
