With snow covering Somerset I headed to its City of Wells. In the UK, in order of increasing size, we have hamlets, villages, towns and cities. Wells is a city because it has a Cathedral but its smaller than most towns.
St Cuthbert’s Church
As the biggest parish church in Somerset it is rumoured that it is often confused with the even bigger cathedral.
The Town Hall
The go-to location for film producers and TV directors the town hall has been many things. Best of all it does yoga lessons.
This is clearly much bigger than St Cuthbert’s church.
Built in 1348 it is famous for being the oldest residential street in Europe.
