Leaving Somerset for the day to the neighbouring county of Wiltshire. Visiting Avebury with some friends. This area is full of history, Silbury Hill is the largest man made mound in Europe and was built around the same time as the Egyptian pyramids. Today it was crowned with a ring of clouds in a bright blue sky.
This inspired me to create some panoramic pictures of the open plains and big skies in this corner Wiltshire.
The long grass was blowing in the wind. Although with no tripod I could not use a shutter speed long enough to show the moment.
It was a beautiful late summer day.
I could not resist a butterfly picture even if it is a common white.
