The Blackmore Vale in Somerset. A flat landscape of fields, hedges and narrow lanes. At this time of year on clear cold days it is covered in silky soft mist.
Mist covers the vale. In the distance are the low hills around Holton and the Cheritons. Before the sun rises above Tinker’s Hill the light is so soft.
In the centre of the mist is Coneygore Hill. I assume this was once a stripe of land used to raise rabbits. The hill is surrounded by footpaths and is well worth a visit.
The church of Cucklington looks like a lighthouse out at sea.
An early morning bonfire created disturbances in the mist. Its hard to believe you are not looking down into the ocean. A beautiful morning!
