High up in the Mendip Hills is Emborough church.
Apparently the church is medieval in origin but underwent a lot of renovation in the 18th century. It stands in the middle of nowhere on the corner of a narrow lane. Luckily a few footpaths across the fields give a good view.
Sitting high up at a bend in the road the tall church is really tricky to photograph. From this angle it looks a bit weird, especially with the vivid sky behind.
The neighbouring horse chestnut tree provided some autumn colour.
