Hearty Moor
I’ve been unwell for a few days so instead of a walk or a bike ride I thought I would get out in the car. It had been a beautiful day so I decided to search out a sunset silhouette of Glastonbury Tor.
Hearty Moor
I hunted the map using my Lightrac app to find a view point to watch the sunset behind the tor. I found a junction of two narrow lanes on the Somerset Levels that looked perfect. I had cycled passed that location before but I could not remember it well. Using Google maps it looked like there was enough space to park the car.
Soon the sun was setting as hoped and the sun was golden and beautiful. I had not realised there were so many nearby trees but luckily there was a small clearing a few yards down the road.
Starlings
I had forgotten about the starling roost at RSPB Ham Wall. But soon large flocks of birds were flying overhead.
Its a few miles from Ham Wall but already there were streams of starlings flying west.
Some large groups and some really small ones.
And Finally…
After the starlings the sky gradually turned deep red.
