Starling Trail
Shoveller ducks next to the Tor View hide on Ham Wall. Great entertainment while waiting for the starlings.
Starlings Arrive
As seems to be the pattern now the first group of starlings to arrive is huge. The birds gathering in nearby fields before making the final leap into Ham Wall?
The starlings funnel down into the reed bed. Why do they queue up to drop into the same few square metres of reeds?
And Finally…
After most people gone home a loud bang lifts the birds out of their roost.
Quickly, the sky is full of birds. They circle around before dropping down on the other side of the hide.
