Butterfly Glades – Great Breach Wood, Somerest, UK. ID JB_8867
Great Breach Wood is a Somerset Wildlife Trust woodland in the middle of the county south of Glastonbury. It still has lots of ash and oak trees, but today I wanted to explore its network of butterfly glades. I was hoping to find a brown hairstreak, but had no luck. Still it was a beautiful day.

The butterflies do not have the glades to themselves. At this time of year migrant hawkers and common darters are everywhere.
