After the success of my last visit I returned to the same spot on Ham Wall today. It was still really windy and so I hoped the birds would behave the same.
The starlings dropped into the reeds at the same location in the west side of Waltons Heath.
Thousands of birds poured into the reeds.
But it was strange that the numbers were so low.
So as the birds started to lift out of the reeds to spread out over the heath and turned around and saw a huge flock behind me above Glastonbury Tor.
The birds crushed together aiming for the best spots on Loxtons Marsh in the distance.
The sky was very grey in this redirection. So much so the pictures almost look black and white.
