Hundreds of people gather at Glastonbury Tor in Somerset to celebrate the Winter Solstice.
I walked to the top in the dark, thanks to those who lined the path with night lights. I like to arrive early, it was only 6am when I climbed the Tor.
I enjoying sitting, waiting for dawn, with a committed few that had been up all night. After an hour the Tor welcomed a big crowd waiting for the golden light of sunrise.
A special moment for many.
Calling in the golden light.
It felt good to share an alternative celebration.
Luckily we got to see the golden sunrise through a gap in the clouds.
