New Year’s Snowdrops

First Snowdrops

Each year the donkey field in Uphill seems to be the first in Somerset to have snowdrops.  On New Year’s day the flowers were already out. Sadly, unlike the picture above, we have not seen the sun for a long time.  At start of 2019 when the winter sun was glorious.

Not wanting to walk into the field and damage any flowers I was limited to those flowers my lens could reach from the other side of the new fence.

I should have removed that patch of soil before I took the picture.

The numbers near the fence were low so I concentrated on the best single flowers I could find.
