St Michael’s Church

Definitely my favourite churchyard for snowdrops.  Each year St Michael’s church in Blackford in South Somerset puts on a wonderful display.  The snowdrops have been grown in a perfect location to catch as much of the winter sun as possible.

Do not get confused, this village is in South Somerset between Sparkford and Wincanton.  Not the village in Exmoor, or the one of near Wedmore.

Its a great spot for backlit shots!

Last Year

Last year was a very different story.  Just after taking the picture below on a bank near the church I slipped onto the road breaking my camera and its lens.  Months later and 300 pounds poorer I eventually got it back from repair.
