Spring on the Levels
During the lockdown we were allowed out each day for some exercise. So to get fit I went for lots of cycle rides around the Somerset Levels. The moors and levels were looking beautiful this spring. As the nation passed the peak we were allowed out more often. Now I could go out and cycle with my camera.
Setting off early in the morning reduced the chances of meeting other people and was perfect for that golden light.
As always Glastonbury Tor is the perfect background for a picture of the levels.
The spring was the sunniest on record. Day after day of beautiful blue skies.
The bridge at Rattling Bow was the favourite spot for a quick break and a snack.
At Shapwick the nature reserves were shut for the lockdown.
Heading east towards Baltonsborough to see the other side of the Tor.
And Finally…
I building a series of pictures of finger posts. Recently people has been working hard to rejuvenate many of these across Somerset.
