Church of St Mary at Moorlinch
When you are in the tiny village of Moorlinch the church is hard to find. It seems to be hidden in an orchard.
… or behind a villager’s vegetable garden.
But high above the village from the top of Knoll Hill it stands out.
To the south it overlooks the flat fields of the Somerset Levels. A few years ago that entire area was covered in flood water. Then the church overlooked a small in land sea.
It is a very good looking church.
It’s not all flat around Moorlinch. The road up through the village is very steep – having cycled up it several times I know that. Knoll Hill has views across traditional English countryside.
