New Year’s Eve

No late parties this year. So, a chance to get up early and watch dawn break on the last day of 2020 – a very cold morning.
On Christmas morning we saw the Cathedral lights shine over the small city of Wells. On new year’s eve I followed the footpath up the hill to Milton Lodge to overlook the church of St Cuthbert.
The skies were clear apart from some cumulus cloud on the distant horizon. The street lights pin point the landscape, ahead of mist covering the Somerset Levels towards Glastonbury Tor.

Soon the sun light found a gap and reached the grass of the frost covered fields.
