Somerset Mists
Autumn is the time of morning mists. The Somerset Levels must be one of the best places in the UK to mist watch.
The low morning sun brings out the texture of the grassland, and illuminates the dry-stone walls. In the distance is Glastonbury Tor pushing up out of the mist.
The fields high up in the Mendip Hills above Wells are a great place to get your phone out and create some panoramic pictures.
This is one of my favourite spots. In the middle distance is the small City of Wells, and the villages of Wookey Hole and Wookey. The tower is part of St Cuthbert’s paper mill, once a very business place. Further on are Hay Hill, Ben Knowle Hill, and Callow Hill. In the distance is Glastonbury Tor.
