Glastonbury Tor
I missed visits to the top of Glastonbury Tor for the solstice and equinox mornings during the pandemic months. This day was not a special astronomical day, but the weather forecast suggested this could be a very special morning – very cold and misty!
Looking west the street lights illuminated the mist.
An hour before dawn the horizon is golden.
Way before sunrise the morning gets brighter and brighter.
Soon, it is time to welcome the sun.
As always, a dawn like this is beyond words.
The day starts with Somerset under a sea of mist.
And finally…
Below the Tor the fields and trees cast long shadows across the landscape.
