Spring Equinox
Glastonbury Tor
Spring equinox always brings out a crowd at the top of Glastonbury Tor. This was first visit to the equinox gathering since the pandemic. It started with a stunning worm moon.
It was only 2 days since the moon was full. Today it sat in the west, directly opposite where the sun would soon rise.
Waiting for the sun…
Which does not take long to appear above the horizon.
A classic view of The Tor.
And finally…
Taking the opportunity to enjoy a cloudless spring dawn across the Somerset Levels.
The low sun picks out every lump and dump of the countryside.
Time to return back down the hill for breakfast. The moon is still just visible.
