St Cuthbert’s Daffodils
Continuing my trips to Wells in Somerset, a visit to the church that became famous in Hot Fuzz. In the film, during a church fete one of the spires at the top of the church is toppled over creating a real mess.
Much tidier is the annual display of daffodils.
The flowers are laid out in strict straight lines. But this formality soon disappears when you get down low and look across the flowers.
Backlit views have to one of my favourites.
And finally…
The evening light casts shadows on the Almshouses behind the rows of daffodils.
