Beacon Hill in Autumn
Autumn is sometimes very short, this year seems to have taken that to new levels. Perhaps I was too distracted chasing starlings around Somerset?
Beacon Hill Wood is one of my favourites and being mainly beech trees it does a wonderful autumn display.
This corner catches the early sun in November.
The wood is not at its best at the moment with lots of management work have just been completed.
The hill does provide some long wide views of Somerset.
Of course, Glastonbury Tor is one of Somersets best loved landmarks.
