Lynchcombe Steps
It has been a quiet time up on the Lynchcombe nature reserve in the Mendip Hills of Somerset. We have a lot of showers recently. The upside of which has been some wonderful rainbows.
At last we are getting some mist across the Somerset Levels.
Lynchcombe has wide views across a patchwork of small fields.
The starlings may be roosting at RSPB Ham Wall, but each morning large flocks return to fields across Somerset.
The landmark sycamore trees at the top of the reserve has lost their leaves for another winter.
Elsewhere the leaves are golden.
Waxcap toadstools are getting harder to find.
They do add a splash of colour.
And finally…
Another sunset.
