West Bay Sunset

I recently spent a couple of days down in the Dorset coast. As always a trip over the border of Somerset feels like a true adventure. I lived in Dorset for several years, and still have a day job on the Dorset-Somerset border. So I have friends there that I like to visit.
West Bay sits on the south coast next to its bigger neighbouring town of Bridport. I did not have much time for photography, but jumped at the chance of capturing the sunset. I was so lucky to have great winter weather.

Jupiter and Uranus stood out in the sky. What I did not know at the time was that much of the UK was witnessing the extremely rare and amazing sight of the northern lights.
