It’s coronation day for the new king in the UK, meaning hours sitting around the goggle box watching all that pomp and ceremony.  Maybe, or perhaps starring out the window at the birds and bees.

I’m very lucky to live in a home with a garden.  This garden is partly given over to wildlife, but also has a lawn.

One last cut of the lawn before No Mow May, and our resident pair of robins loved the chance to pick up the insects this disturbed.

Free the wildflowers in your lawn so they can grow wild and provide a feast for pollinators, tackle pollution, and lock away atmospheric carbon below ground. – Plantlife

The long-tailed tits, that pass through, love the cherry tree.

And finally…

Do not forget the bees – especially the wild ones.

So sit next to a window and keep one eye on the garden.  Unless it continues to rain all day.
