Back to Tealham Moor
I really enjoyed my previous visit to Tealham Moor. So I returned today early to catch the sunrise.
There is a small bridge called, Jack’s Drove Bridge, over the North Drain. It is a beautiful spot for which the word drain should never be used. I stood on the bridge for a couple of hours watching the sun rise. It was such a bonus having missed the autumn equinox on top of Glastonbury Tor.
We have all been so lucky with the sun this October. It has been warm again like summer.
I recently did a gravel cycle race around Somerset. The route took us down the long droves that cross the moor. It was so wet and muddy that I was exhausted after just a couple of miles.
Today they felt so different.
The moor is a series of rough fields. No hedges, but there are lots of water filled ditches.
And finally…
There are lots of friendly animals on the moors.
