We know autumn brings golden colours, but don’t forget it also brings us the soft white colours of mist.  To make the most of the mist you can either drop down into the valley to capture views layered through the mist.  Alternatively, climb up the nearest big hill and look over the land covered in a white blanket.

One of the best places to capture a blanket of mist is high up in the Mendip Hills at Deerleap.  Especially as you have Glastonbury Tor to provide a distant focus point.

The Somerset Levels are dotted with lots of other small hills.  Today a few of these hills peaked through the blanket, but closer by some mist drafted around the base of Chalcroft Hill.

Lower down the hill is a pair of standing stone will wonderful views across the valley to Glastonbury Tor.  Especially when some comes over to say hello.
