Recent storms and heavy rain have raised the level of water across the moors of Somerset.  Some parts such as Tealham Moor now look like inland seas.

When the water is lapping the edges of the roads the light literally makes the day glow.  A wonderful light that gives you a magical lift.  Of course, we do not want the water to flood peoples homes, but across the endless fields the landscape is transformed.

A surprise visitor on Tealham Moor.  This whooper swan was clearly having fun.

Nearby, a large group of cattle egrets and gulls enjoy the water at Mudgely.

I suspect not all the farmers enjoy the floods.
