Wibbly-wobbly Hedge
Montacute House
Return to the Montacute village in South Somerset. This time to visit the big house with the same name.
I was hoping to see the carpets of daffodils, but sadly most of the flowers were well passed their best. Despite this disappointment the formal gardens were wonderful.
Daffodils
I did find a few daffodils in hidden corners of the grounds.
Wibbly-wobbly Hedges
Today it was the wibbly-wobbly hedges that caught my imagination.
Apparently, the hedges were damaged by months of snow back in 1947 and have kept their deformed shape ever since.
And finally…
Another classic village sign!
