Lynchcombe Steps
August came and went very quickly. This morning, it was beginning to feel like autumn. Out on a walk around the Lynchcombe nature reserve I was on the look out for Rusty the fox.
It did not take long to come across her watching me from behind the long grass.
Soon they were both out and about running around.
It was wonderful meeting up with Rusty again. I have seen her a lot this year and it is always a joy.
As was this friendly squirrel.
There are still a few ash trees standing in the reserve.
This kestrel was having a hard time. The crows would not leave it alone.
And finally…
Red kites are starting to appear across Somerset. It will be interesting to watch how their numbers increase in the next few years.
