Starling Trail

Today it was Meare Heath hide.  The Starlings performance as requested.  To get to the hide following the main path into Shapwick Heath from either end.  In the middle cross the bridge north into a small wood, on the other side of the wood is Meare Heath hide.  Its a good raised hide.  During starling hour people will often stand in front of the hide as the daytime birdwatchers have made a run for it.

As the hide faces north the sky can be dull and grey.  Not unexpected for an English winter evening.  Today the light was poor but the water was calm creating some great reflections.  Two million starlings for the price of one million!
