Starling Trail

Back on the Starling Trail again.  This time the birds are deep in south side of Shapwick Heath.  This is the bad lands for Starling watchers as you cannot get near.  The main drove is distant but does have some height above the reeds.  Venture around to the Decoy Hide and they could still be a kilometre away, plus you are trapped if the birds go elsewhere.  South of the reserve the fields have no footpaths.

So this is a classic fifty shades of grey evening with grey clouds with grey flocks of birds flying around.
