Babcary

I have been to the small village of Babcary many times to visit the Somerset Wildlife Trust there.  Today I also took time to photograph the church.  Situated next to the River Cary in South Somerset this is a pretty little village surrounded by some wonderful countryside.

It was too early in the year to photograph the SWT meadows, but on returning to the village I noticed a Green-veined White (Pieris nap) drinking the salts from the mud on the track.  Its perfect reflection forced me to stop, change lens, and photograph butterflies again.
