Axe Valley

Today I drove up Deerleap to photograph the mist that was predicted by the Met Office.  They did a good job and the mist was right on cue.

I regularly visit this spot, its so close to my home, I love the layers of trees sitting in the mist.  I would like to zoom in close and isolate the trees.  Instead I used the Yarley Tree as a focal point.

The mists in the Brue Valley are deeper than those in the Axe Valley.   Glastonbury Tor often stands up through the Brue’s mist like a giant tanker at sea.

As the land rises towards Wookey the mist in the Axe Valley gets thiner and thiner.  Beyond, the Brue Valley is still deep in mist.

Looking towards Wells a balloon rises from the playing fields.  A perfect day for a ride.
