Park Wood

Park Wood is an important part of the cultural landscape around Wells in Somerset. Wells has a long history and so does this wood. The wood was once much bigger. It was cut by the East Somerset Railway line and the main road to Shepton Mallet.

The wood is one of the best in Somerset for spring flowers. This year looks like being one of the best years in Somerset for bluebells. So today’s early morning visit should be the best of the best.
