Lynchcombe Steps
Over the last 10 years I have been taking pictures of the Lynchcombe nature reserve from the same locations at the same time of year. I missed one year as I was away in the States for several weeks and forgot to take the pictures on my return.
So now I have a series of 9 pictures covering each area of this Somerset Wildlife Trust reserve over the last decade.
Surprisingly, in many of the pictures little has changed. The bracken is gradually reducing but this is hard to tell from the pictures as sometimes it was cleared just before the image was taken.
A few old trees have fallen during winter storms and a lot of scrub has been cleared by hard working teams of volunteers.

In the combe fences now divide the reserve to help manage the grazing.
