Green’s Combe Farm

Just north of Bruton in Somerset is Creech Hill. This is one of the highest points in the landscape at 199 metres.  On the road over the hill is a small triangle with enough space to park a car.  The footpaths from here look down into deep valleys or combes.   Looking south is Green’s Combe in the bottom of which a Green’s Combe farm.

This morning I watched the morning mist clear to reveal the farm.

Shafts of sunlight begin to shine down the combe and we get our first glimpse of the farm below.

Green’s Combe Farm

At last a clear view of the farm nestled in the combe by autumn trees. While in the background the mist still lingers.

And Finally…

As I leave for my day job the sun illuminates the landscape of south Somerset on this beautiful morning.
