Starling Trail
Another day at RSPB Ham Wall. Each day is becoming very similar. The starlings keep doing the same thing, only the weather changes. I’m not complaining as each day is great especially on days like today when the weather was kind.
Waiting for the Starlings
This is one of my favourite views in Ham Wall. I’ve wanted to photograph the starlings from this spot for a while. However, today was not that day as I had company and needed to go to a more reliable location. There is a lot of responsibility when taking visitors!
The sunsets over Waltons Heath from the viewing screens can be beautiful. I single swan creating the only ripples on the surface of the water
Waiting by the viewing screens. I enjoy waiting here for the starlings to arrive. There is often a group of visitors sitting inside checking-off each bird they see against the identification chart on the wall while having a cup of tea from a flask. A very British visit.
The Birds Arrive
It was starting to get dark but in this calm weather the reflections gave us two birds for the price of one.
And Finally
One of my rare videos, this one shows the birds starting to stream across into the other side of Waltons or on to Loxtons.
