Spring Flowers

Spring has sprung across Somerset. Flowers are blooming along roadside verges, gardens, parks and nature reserves.

Bratton Seymour

As we approach the spring equinox I am reminded of the church at Bratton Seymour.  On a Bratton Hill overlooking the vales of Somerset it is perfectly positioned to meet the sunrise.

I am a fool and missed the display of snowdrops at Bratton Seymour this year.  I did not want to miss the rest of spring blooming.

  1. Oh my, just look at this! I used to live in the cottage at the bottom of the Bratton Seymour church path when the Hall School was there.

Thanks for your comment. The church and its location are really beautiful. I frequently drive passed the village on the main road and occasionally take to detour to visit the church. I did not know about the Hall School. It was interesting doing some research on the internet and finding it has a facebook page!
