Crooked Halo
Taken from near the top of Crook Peak in the Mendip Hills of Somerset in the UK. The bright spring day with a slight covering of thin cloud created this refraction halo around the sun. The opportunity to include a walker in the image gives the scene some scale. Back at home Adobe Lightroom was used to reduce the noise in the image from my Nikon D200 camera and some extreme oval vignetting created an eye.
