Stockhill Woods
It was the first snow of the year but despite being the weekend I had too much work to do. By lunch time I had done enough so I headed up the Mendips for a mid-afternoon’s winter walk around Stockhill Woods – with lots of other people. This is probably the most popular spot on the Mendip Hills for an easy going stroll.
Beach Trees
After a while I left the families behind. Here Beach Trees avenues lined the woodland tracks. Their dark trunks contrasted against the white of the snow.
I turned the pictures to black-and-white but to be honest they looked much the same in colour. However, loosing the colour did do a good job of hiding the mud.
And Finally…
After an hour I realised I had been photographing natures own barcodes.
