Priddy White
Mendip Snow
Along Pelting Drove, the road to Priddy from Wells, is this fence. Fences are rare here as the fields are divided by beautiful dry-stone walls. But this fence is so long it disappears to a dot in the distance.
I have photographed this kink in the wall near Priddy – but never looking so white.
Priddy is famous for this stack of hurdles on the village green.
The snow made brilliant patterns on this bench next to the green.
Families play in the snow above the village.
In this weather the pictures look almost black and white.
The wind was blowing hard passed these trees next to a dip in the wall.
All around the Mendip Hills the landscape was white.
And Finally…
The wind and snow was so dramatic I had to make a video. I was so cold, and the wind so strong, it was hard to face into the snow. No chance of using a tripod – it would have disappeared down the fields.
