Charlton Musgrove
I frequently cycle through Charlton Musgrove parish turning off at Barrow Lane. Each time I pass a road sign pointing down Rectory Lane but I have never gone down – the bike ride is long enough without adding a few extra miles . Today those extra miles of cycling in glorious autumn sunshine seems like a good idea.
Charlton Musgrove
The church was a lot further down the road than I expected. Quite a long way from is village.
It is a beautiful 13th century church.
Opposite was a manor gateway in full autumn colours.
And Finally…
Back down Barrow Lane I stopped to photograph the community church of St Johns. Both churches are part of the Benefice of Charlton Musgrove, Cucklington and Stoke Trister with Bayford. I have visited all recently except for the small chapel at Bayford. I’ll need to put that right.
