Lynchcombe Steps
Lynchcombe Snow
I am a volunteer warden at Lynchcombe for the Somerset Wildlife Trust so a visit during the snow from the east was essential.
It was still snowing and blowing a gale.
I headed down to the combe to find shelter from the wind.
Much nicer down here. In the combe protected from the wind the snow had settled on the trees creating a springtime winter wonderland.
Heading home, looking back across Deerleap towards Lynchcombe the entire landscape was white.
Following snow even brambles create beautiful shadows.
And Finally…
Pictures do not bring out the wind, noise and cold of the day. So here is a short video of the blizzard.
